As a young boy, Dr. Yoshimura enjoyed science and art. He knew he
wanted to be in medicine and, at his stepfather’s suggestion,
chose dentistry as a perfect compliment for both enjoyments. After

received his undergrad degree from the University of Hawaii and then
attended the University of Iowa Dental School. He received his DDS
in 1991 and spent a year in a general practice residency at Hennepin
County Medical Center. After his residency, he worked for a year
in a private practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before returning
home to Hawaii.
Dr. Yoshimura continues to learn all he can about the ever-evolving
dentistry field. He attends 100 to 200 hours of continuing education
courses each year. Those courses have been with some
of the most highly respected educators in the world including: the Seattle
